Unity Vietnamese Church is a Protestant evangelical congregation in Westminster, California, affiliated with ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians and grounded in the historic, orthodox Christian faith.
Our mission is to grow and expand through proclaiming the Gospel, training faithful disciples, and serving our community.
OUR STORY
We give thanks to God for establishing Unity Vietnamese Church on May 28, 2023.
MAY 28, 2023 — A NEW CHURCH BEGINS
A group of Vietnamese-American believers in Southern California came together to form a new local church, firmly grounded not only in spiritual foundational values but also in a commitment to character and conduct, community and relationships, growth and mission as central to its vision. In its first five weeks, the congregation gathered for worship at Russell C. Paris Park in Westminster, California. Through the Lord’s leading, the church then moved to its current location, where the commitment to these core values continues to guide our worship and ministry today.
JANUARY 13, 2024 — A DENOMINATIONAL HOME
The congregation voted unanimously to join ECO: A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians.
SEPTEMBER 8, 2024 — OFFICIALLY RECEIVED INTO ECO
Unity Vietnamese Church officially became part of ECO, affiliating with the Presbytery of Southern California, continuing its ministry as a Protestant church grounded in orthodox Christian doctrine and committed to Gospel mission.

Rev. Long Ho, Ph.D.
Lead Pastor
Rev. Dr. Thanh-Long Van Ho has been privileged to serve in ministry for over 15 years and has held the role of the Lead Pastor of Unity Vietnamese Church since its inception. He received his M.A. (2014) and Ph.D. (2021) degrees in Educational Studies—speciallizing in Christian Education and Ministry Leadership—at Talbot School of Theology Biola University. In addition to his pastoral ministry, he has taught Systematic Theology at Crown College and Statistics at Biola University. Prior to entering ministry and theological education, he received his B.S. degree (1994) from Dordt University and M.S. degree (1999) from California State University, Fullerton, both in Electrical Engineering; he worked more than 20 years in engineering at Boeing Company. His ministry reflects a commitment to faithful biblical preaching and teaching, discipleship, leadership development, and equipping believers to humbly serve Christ and participate in His mission within their communities and beyond.
