God designed life with rhythms of work and rest. From the Sabbath in the Old Testament to Jesus’ invitation for His disciples to rest after seasons of ministry (Mark 6:31), Scripture recognizes that people flourish when periods of growth are balanced with intentional renewal.
Our Bible study follows a yearly rhythm:
Eleven weeks of study
One week of review and integration
One scheduled week of rest after each quarter
During the summer we include an additional break to accommodate family vacations, and during Christmas we pause for three weeks so families can focus on worship, outreach, and time together during one of the busiest seasons of the year.
These breaks are not interruptions to discipleship—they are part of discipleship. They give participants space to practice what they have learned, spend time with family, serve in other ministries, and return refreshed for the next season of study.
We believe that long-term spiritual growth is sustained not by constant activity but by a healthy rhythm of learning, reflection, service, and rest.
