Modern culture often values speed. We read quickly, scroll quickly, and move quickly from one topic to another.
Scripture invites us to a different pace.
Some passages contain profound truths that deserve careful reflection. By slowing down, we notice details we might otherwise overlook. We begin to understand the author’s message more accurately, appreciate the richness of God’s Word, and allow biblical truth to shape our thinking.
Jesus often taught slowly, revisiting the same themes with His disciples over time. Spiritual maturity likewise develops gradually.
Rather than asking, “How much can we cover tonight?” we ask, “How deeply can God’s Word shape us tonight?”
Sometimes studying five verses carefully produces more lasting fruit than rushing through an entire chapter.
